Marcy Martin

Marcy Martin – age 72, passed away September 12, 2021, at her home in Dickson, TN peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.

Marcy was born in Bridgeport, CT on January, 8 1949 to Roy Malone and Rita Van Syckle who along with 7 of her siblings precede her in death.  She graduated from Bullard Haven Technical High School with a degree in Cosmetology.  Getting her cosmetology license was one of her greatest achievements.  She even won first place in a hair stylist contest.

Marcy was a devoted mother, aunt and sister who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She loved to sew Christmas ornaments and stockings often gifting them to family and friends. She was an avid traveler and traveled to five continents, and achieved her dream of going to Ireland.  She was always the first to dance and loved music, especially Elvis Presley.  Most of all she had a great sense of humor and was the life of the party.  She knew how to love unconditionally and would do anything for her family and friends.

Marcy is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Rogers (Bob), Patrick Martin (Adam Denton), Colleen Lewis (Keith); grandchildren, Aiden Rogers, Brice Rogers, Sarah Lewis, Caleb Lewis, Scarlett Lewis; sister, Patty Veness (Kenny); her best friend of 68 years June Adams-Girard (June Bug); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at West Harpeth Funeral Home.
