Margaret J. (Moser) Johnson

1925-2017

Margaret June (Moser) Johnson died on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the age of 91. She leaves her husband of 70 years, John D. Johnson, her daughter, Victoria Trainer and her husband Robert, two granddaughters, Susan Russell and her husband Damien and Anne Garcia and her husband Andrew, and two great-grandchildren, Addy and Frances Garcia. Margaret was the only child of Pauline Pate Moser and Howard Henry Moser. She grew up in Knoxville, graduated from Knoxville High School and attended the University of Tennessee. She loved life and her husband. She played golf, gardened, volunteered at St. Thomas Hospital, was a great cook and enjoyed her friends and family. She was, of course, an avid UT football and basketball fan. During her last illness, she received kind, gentle care at St. Thomas West Hospital and at The Meadows in Bellevue. There will be a visitation at 9:30 am and a service at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 7th at the West Harpeth Funeral Home at 6962 Charlotte Pike, Nashville. Burial will follow at noon at the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens Cemetery at 9090 Highway 100, Nashville.
