Marian "Micki" Nelson, Age 83, resident of Ashland City, TN, passed away on June 7, 2021. Micki was born on May 2, 1938, to Orles and Martha (Frischmann) Hart.
Micki married the boy next door, Jeff Nelson in 1963. They had 2 daughters and raised them in the small town of Okauchee, WI, where Micki wrote for her local newspaper, The Okauchee Free Spirit. She also worked in Milwaukee as a booking agent for Artist Corporation of America before moving onto Kennametal, where she worked as a receptionist/secretary until she and Jeff moved to Tennessee in 1984.
Micki and Jeff owned and operated American Marble in Franklin, TN. When Jeff passed in 1999, Micki continued to operate until she sold it and retired in 2000.
Micki loved the Green Bay Packers and swore she bled green and gold. She also loved politics and was extremely happy to achieve her goal of living long enough to help vote Trump out of office.
Micki is survived by her daughters, Peggy (Tom Pflanzer) Nelson and Penny (Frank) Morse; sisters, Jeanette (Art) Sem, Phyllis (Bert) Walter, and Ruth (Jim) Schuster. She is also survived by her grandsons, Eric (April) Morse, Ryan (Ashley Nothan) Morse & Sean (Sharon Choi) Morse and the apple of her eye, her great granddaughter, Annabelle, her favorite, sorry Frank, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey; her parents, Orles and Martha; her sister, Judith, and her brothers in law, Jim Nelson and Bert Walter.
A private memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to Alive Hospice (1718 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203)
