Mary Louise Cavazos, 73, of Nashville, TN, passed away on August 8, 2024. Born on December 14, 1950, in Lake Charles, LA, Mary devoted her life to nurturing and caring for others, both through her profession and in her personal life. 

Mary embarked on a fulfilling career as a labor and delivery nurse for 10 years, bringing countless lives into the world with care and compassion. She later transitioned to the plasma industry, where she made significant contributions as a facility manager for 28 years. Her work ethic and dedication to helping others were evident in every aspect of her career.

A graduate of Ozark Bible College, Mary's faith and education were central to her character, guiding her through her many endeavors and life choices. Her spirit was marked by a love for adventure and a readiness to embrace life’s challenges with a brave and honest heart.

Mary's hobbies included traveling, photography, painting, jewelry making, cooking, and watching scary movies. Each of these passions reflected her adventurous spirit and artistic sensibility, which brought much joy to her and those around her. 

She is survived by her loving husband, David Cavazos; son, Chris Cavazos; and extended family. Mary's life was a testament to her kindness, bravery, and the joy she brought to her loved ones. 

A memorial service will be held at Centennial Park in the Sunken Gardens at 1 PM on August 18th. Attendees are encouraged to come as you are. Following the service, loved ones will gather to celebrate Mary’s life at her favorite restaurant, Cinco De Mayo, on White Bridge Pike.

Mary will be remembered not just for her professional achievements and personal hobbies, but for her incredible personality that made a lasting impact on everyone she met. Her legacy of kindness, adventure, and compassion will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
