Special niece Geneva Ford McNabb, and Mary Jane's constant companion "Baby", her Chihuahua. She was a life long West Nashville resident, Mary Jane married W.D. Hulan, her Bellevue High School sweetheart on December 21, 1946. She was a full time homemaker all of her life. A Christian and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, caregiver, neighborhood mother, neighbor, and community volunteer. She was a long time active member of Richland Creek Church of Christ until her health declined. She was a supporter of any activity her children or grandchildren were a part of. Mary Jane was an avid gardener, a huge UT fan, an active member of Ladies Auxillary VFW Post 1970, founding member of West Nashville R.U.N. organization, and member of Harpeth River Sportman's Club. The Hulan Place always welcomed family and friends. Mary Jane and W.D. influenced many lives over the years. They helped raise children other than their own. Their home was a gathering place for all neighborhood children because they had a big yard, many activities to choose from and kids knew they would be fed and could feel the love. In the 1970's they opened their home to three more children, who were with them for several years - Becky Clark Carter, Donna Clark and Steve Roachin. They also helped raise nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mary Jane's life was held at her request December 13th. She was there and enjoyed every minute of it. The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and support. Our heartfelt thanks goes to Dr. Charles Daniels, Dr. Dante Graves, and Alive Hospice.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at 1:00pm, with nephew Rory Ford officiating, and congregational singing led by church members, at West Harpeth Funeral Home.
