Mary Lou Smith - Age 82, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away January 13, 2017. She was born in Big Sandy, TN on January 27, 1934. Mary Lou was a member of the St. John's United Methodist Church for over 57 years. She was devoted to her family and led by her spirit of laughter and strength.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Harvey Smith; children, Patty (Tommy) Grones and Randy (Beth Pattillo) Smith; grandchildren, Angela (Rhett) Turner, Michael (Beth) Grones, Sam Smith and Meg Smith; great grandchildren, Sarah Grones, Jacob Grones, Shelby Turner, Jack Turner, and Eli Grones; nephew, Ronnie Fry.

A Celebration of Life will be on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at 11:00am, at West Harpeth Funeral Home with David Spencer officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Fry, Jacob Grones, Michael Grones, Tommy Grones, Sam Smith and Rhett Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be San Cera Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00pm until 7:00pm and on Tuesday from 10:00am until the service time at 11:00am at WEST HARPETH FUNERAL HOME, 6962 Charlotte Pike;
