Mitchell Shane Brown "Mitch" - Age 45 years, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 1, 2014. Remembered as a man with a great sense of humor and a heart for the less fortunate, Mitchell attended Hillwood High School and later graduated from East Tennessee Law Enforcement Academy in 1993. He served as a policeman for the Lakewood and White House Police Departments, and was later employed by the Circuit Court of Metro Nashville. Mitchell was a 32nd degree Mason. In 2000, he was elected Master of the Corinthian Lodge # 414 in Nashville. Mitchell is survived by his parents, Dr. Wayne and Shirley Brown; his brother's family, Andy (Beth) Brown, Rachel, Anna, and Drew Brown; aunt and uncle, Shila and Paul Holloway; aunt and uncle, Bill and Ruth Brown, and aunt Frances Russell. The funeral service will be on Friday, September 5, 2014, at 10am, at West Harpeth Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen Shumate officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the ALS foundation. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8pm at WEST HARPETH FUNERAL HOME.
