Nettie Inez Vigil

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Nettie Inez Vigil, a beloved resident of Dickson, TN. Mrs. Vigil departed this world on Sunday, August 6, at the venerable age of 95 years.

Mrs. Vigil embraced life with boundless passion and held her family dearly in her heart. She found joy in shopping, visiting casinos, and embarking on spontaneous road trips. However, playing cards on Saturday nights stood as a cherished family tradition that brought immense happiness to her.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Isaaic Thomas and Gertrude Dubois; daughters, Christine Hodge and Debbie Marino; as well as one son, Donald Ray Smith. Mrs. Vigil is survived by her loving children: James Thomas Smith (Mary Ann), Billy Sylvestre, Audrey May (Frank), Fran Bailey (Bill), Randy Foster (Donna), Sindy Harvey (Ricky), Richard Smith (Wanda), Jennie Potter (Randy). Additionally, she leaves behind a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will carry on her legacy.

A gathering of family and friends will take place at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville, TN on Saturday, August 12, 2023. The visitation hours will be from 10am to 1pm followed by a funeral service commencing at 1pm. To honor Mrs. Vigil's memory, burial arrangements have been made at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens situated at 9090 Hwy 100 in Nashville, TN.
