Ocie Stokes Clark

Ocie Stokes Clark, 92 of Nashville, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at her home. She was born on July 1, 1931, to the late Raymond and Hallie Stokes. Ocie graduated from Trenton High School. She retired from Ingram Barge where she worked as Payroll manager. She enjoyed traveling and watching UK Basketball. She was of the Methodist faith and attended Belle Meade United Methodist Church where she was involved in many church activities.

In addition to her parents, Ocie was preceded in death by her husband, William; brothers, William and Nelson Stokes; and sisters, Pauline Mitchell, Louise Lisenby, Thelma Mitchell, Chris Wilyard, Mary Moore, Ruth Hurt, Geneva Lange, Shirley Lack, Tribue Stokes, Lillian Stokes, and Betty Jo Stokes.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving son, Greg Clark; sisters, Nello Rose of Clarksville and Jo Hart of Long Beach, CA.

Family will receive friends from 9:00AM until 11:00AM on Saturday, March 9, 2024, in the lounge at Belle Meade United Methodist Church located at 121 Davidson Road in Nashville. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00AM in the Church Sanctuary. A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Riverside Cemetery located at 530 N. Main Street in Hopkinsville, KY.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude, Shriners Hospitals, or a charity or organization of your choice in Ocie’s honor.
