Patrica “Pat” Collins, 84, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025. She was preceded in death by her son, William “Shaggy” Collins, her parents, Adelle and Robert Simpson, and a brother, John Simpson.
She is survived by her daughter, Allison Collins, four granddaughters, Christen Collins, Jordan Collins, Kennedy Collins, and Darrion Loring, two great-grandchildren, Truett Loring and Penelope Loring, along with many extended relatives and friends.
Pat grew up knowing the value of hard work and family—two things that remained the cornerstones of her life. She built her world around the people she loved most, always putting family first and welcoming others with open arms and a hot meal.
Pat had a quick wit and a wicked sense of humor that could light up any room. She could make you laugh even on your worst day and dance you back into a good mood, whether it was in the living room or at a local honky-tonk. She loved to two-step, sing along to her favorite country songs, and never missed a chance to enjoy a good race on Sunday afternoon.
She spent her life working hard, never backing down from a challenge, and always doing what needed to be done—with strength, resilience, and an unshakable sense of humor. She was the kind of woman who showed up—when you needed advice, a warm meal, or just someone to laugh with.
Above all else, Pat was a fiercely devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. Her family was her greatest joy, and she poured her love into every moment she spent with them. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and unforgettable stories.
The family cordially invites relatives and friends to visit and share those unforgettable stories on Tuesday, April 22nd from five o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening at West Harpeth Funeral Home and Crematory, 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville.
