Paul Franklin of Nashville passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 3rd, 2022, with his family at his side. He was born in Giles County, Tennessee, to the late Henry Grady Franklin and Emma Prentice Franklin.
Paul is preceded in death by brothers Harold, Joe, and Henry Franklin. He is survived by wife, Betty Franklin; Daughter, Jenny Franklin; and niece’s and nephew, Mary Jo Elliott, Carolyn Huey, and Henry Franklin.
Paul graduated from Central High School and the University of Tennessee Nashville. He was a faithful member of West Nashville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Paul retired from Metro Nashville Fir Department and the Tennessee Army National Guard with years of service to the community. The family would like to extend special thanks to the coffee group and to his physicians, Benjamin Farrell, Carl Rogers, and John Gibson. Pall Bearers will include Cody Franklin, Chris Franklin, Brandon Franklin, Donnie Clark, Roger Patton, and Jeff Dillingham.
Visitation with the family will be held at West Harpeth Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 8th, from 2-6pm and Wednesday, November 9th, from 11:30-12:30pm. A service will be held directly after on November 9th, starting at 12:30pm with Pastor Tommy Clark officiating. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
