Paulus Christian Najjar Leeper

Born 1/11/82 Died 1/18/21

On the morning of January 18, 2021, Paulus Christian Najjar Leeper "Paulie"

unexpectedly left this world. A native of Nashville, Paul attended and graduated from the

University School of Nashville in 2000, where he was a merit scholar and honor student.

During those years, he was a member of the non-profit, independent, teen theatre company,

The Real Life Players. This group worked tirelessly each year to benefit charitable causes

such as the Oasis Center, Vanderbilt Pediatric Aids Center, and other worthy organizations.

Paul graduated from Cumberland University with a degree in business communications.

He spent his post-graduate years in the service industry. Everyone who worked with Paul

relied on his leadership, ingenuity and high ethical standards.

As a young man committed to life-long learning, Paul was an enthusiastic reader and

easily engaged in conversations with others to share new information and enjoy relaxed

debate. He was most knowledgeable on a variety of subjects from science to politics. This

knowledge was an indispensable resource for his friends and family. Although he never

had any of his own, he was a magnet for children who endeared themselves to him when in

his presence. He will always be remembered as the gentlest of souls and a most helpful

family member and friend. When author, Rabbi Harold S. Kushner wrote, "Do things for

people not because of who they are or what they do in return, but because of who you are,"

he must certainly have been thinking of Paul.

Paul is survived by this parents Paulus and Jennifer Najjar Leeper, brothers Brian

Leeper, James Leeper (Kim), and half siblings Beth Stewart, Jeff Leeper (Kim), Laura

Waynick (Jeff), and Sarah Tate (Doug) along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Paul's funeral service will be held outdoors at the Belle Meade United Methodist

Church's columbarium on Saturday, February 6th, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Due to health concerns and

restrictions for gatherings, attendees will be limited to family members. In lieu of flowers,

donations may be made to the library of University School of Nashville or The Family

Resource Center at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
