Peggy Desmit

Peggy Jo deSmit, came into this world kicking and screaming on July 2nd, 1946. She was the only child of Joseph Henry and Wilma Louise Briggs, which was about as much as they could handle!

Peggy always marched to get own beat and set her own rules. Peggy married and divorced Jack deSmit. She was blessed with a tall, handsome son, Jerry deSmit Duffle and adventurous daughter, Angela deSmit Herron. Peggy enjoyed hanging with her 7 grandchildren: Shannon, Misty, Kelly, Casey, Chelsy, Macy, and Joey. She also has 6 great grandchildren.

Peggy was preceded in death by her lifelong best friend, Beverly, and they had numerous adventures together. They had many friends from the Ranch and spent a lot of time there. She enjoyed finding sharks teeth on the beach and loved the Florida Keys. Peggy quietly left us on October 18th, 2016 to be reunited with her parents, Beverly and her dog, Smurffy. Visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday, November 5th, 2016. A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00pm in the Celebration Hall at West Harpeth Funeral Home.
