Peter Wayne Nugent of Nashville, TN passed away peacefully in his home on January 28, 2021. He was 71 years old.

Born in Somerville, MA on April 1, 1949, Pete is preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Doris Dyer Nugent; brothers Bruce Nugent, Donald Nugent; and his sister Donna Amiss. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Kathey Barton Nugent; daughter Kristi (Brian) Wood; son Harvey (Christina) Lamb; 5 grandchildren Isabella Cook, Raymond Cook, Andre Wood, Lucus Lamb, Zane Williams; sister-in-law Debbie Nugent; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pete was a member of the Tennessee Army Air National Guard and was proud of his service to our country. Retired from Starlite Apartments as the Maintenance Supervisor, Pete enjoyed spending his time outdoors gardening and landscaping. He loved his family dearly and frequently took trips to casinos, anywhere to enjoy nature and watching Tennessee Titans games on tv. Pete never met a stranger. He was kind, generous and funny. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

A visitation for Peter Nugent will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2021 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and a Celebration of Life on Monday, February 1 all at West Harpeth Funeral Home, 6962 Charlotte Pike, Nashville. Burial to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville.
