Phyllis Evans

Phyllis Marie Evans, 75, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023. She was born on September 25, 1947, to the late William and Dorothy Poe Woody. In her earlier years she worked as a hairdresser. Phyllis always enjoyed loving on others as well as her pets. She was a dedicated caregiver to her husband and parents.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy Woody.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Troy Evans; brother, Dwayne (Virginia) Woody; niece, Elizabeth McKee; great-nieces, Gabrielle Sellers and Victoria Stradley; great-nephew, Gideon McKee; and 2 great-great-nephews, Carlin Sellers and Canaan Sellers.

The family will receive friends from 12:00PM until 1:00PM on Monday, February 27, 2023, at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00PM on Monday immediately following visitation. Following the Service, Phyllis will be laid to rest in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
