Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Julia Cochran Loveless; son Mike (Deborah) Loveless of Nashville; grandson Matt (Kristi) Loveless of Atlanta; great-grandson Drew Loveless; and great-granddaughter Kate Loveless. He was preceded in death by his parents O. L. and Dora Loveless; sisters Louise Taylor, Pauline Myatt, and Lillian Loveless; and brother William Loveless.

He was born in Lyles (Hickman County), TN and was a graduate of Hickman County High School in Centerville, TN. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Until his retirement in 1988, he was employed at Ford Motor Company's Glass Plant in Nashville for 30 years. He served UAW's Local 737 as Recording Secretary, Vice President, and President and as Chairman of the retirees. In 1985, he was elected Chairman of the Tennessee State CAP Council serving 21 local UAWs.

He was a member of Charlotte Heights Church of Christ; a member of Masonic Lodge #612; a 32 degree Mason; and was a Shriner.

Honorary pall bearers are members of UAW Local 737 retirees chapter and special friends, Phil Suter, Odie Adcock, Walter Mangrum, Norman Jones, George Ferguson, Clark Raines, Dr. Michael Olive, and Judge Bill Higgins

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, August 30 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm and on Wednesday 10:30am until 11:30am. The funeral service will be August 31 at 11:30 at West Harpeth Funeral Home, 6962 Charlotte Pike, Nashville. Burial will be at Harpeth Hills Cemetery, Hwy 100.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, 410 Allied Drive, Nashville, TN 37211, or a charity of choice.
