R. Sanders

SANDERS, R. Cordell-Age 91 passed away September 10, 2011. Preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Barber Sanders; father, Willie Sanders; brother, Henry Sanders. Survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Catherine Dennis Sanders; daughter, Carolyn Crouch Ray; grandson, Craig Crouch Kay; great-grandson, Hunter Crouch. He was born and raised in Macon County, Tennessee near Lafayette. In his teenager years he moved to Nashville. Early on he worked at Western Union, Railway Express, Sanders and Sons Grocery and later retiring from Shull Truck Lines Teamster Local Union 480. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and could keep you laughing for hours with his tales about the rabbits, squirrels and fish that he had hunted and caught. The family would like to thank the healthcare staff at NHC @ Dickson for all of their care and love toward Mr. Sanders. A graveside service will be held 12pm Tuesday at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
