Richard Reeves Hodgens-

Self proclaimed "Mayor of North Belle Meade ", avid Nashville history buff and genealogy enthusiast, passed away August 5, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Dearborn, MI, at Henry Ford Hospital. Richard relocated to Nashville at the age of 15. Survived an attack from "The Phantom" before he retired with 33 years from Ford Glass Plant - Nashville, TN.

He was a member of Hume-Fogg "Blue Devils" Graduating Class of 1959, 50-year member of Corinthian
Masonic Lodge #8, Al Menah Temple, Local 737 UAW Retirees and Hillwood Presbyterian Church.

He enjoyed local volunteer opportunities including Nashville's Talking Library, Red Cross Blood donations,
United Way, Shriner Hospitals, Beacon Square Neighborhood Association and many more.

Preceded in death by parents and brothers, Pat and Catherine, Dale and David. Survived by his treasured wife Jo Ann (King), daughters, Kimberly Smith (Rick), Leigh Ann St.Arnold, Leah Clemons
(Ronnie), 11 grandchildren and 3 spouses Stephanie Watkins (Doug), Dylan Smith
(Hillary), Shelby Mitchell (Jeremy), Jeremy Richard Smith , Caroleigh Smith, Kaycee St.Arnold, Hannah Smith, Mary and Nathan Clemons.

Visitation with the family will be on Friday, August 10, 2018, from 1:00pm until 7:00pm, at West Harpeth Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at 1:00pm, CST, at Boykin Truitt Cemetery in Pell City, AL.

In lieu of flowers donations to Alive Hospice Nashville are appreciated.
