Ricky King

Ricky Dwight King of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday March 6, 2022 at the age of 66. Born September 2nd, 1955, to Hurston King and Lorraine Mangrum, Ricky grew up in West Nashville. As a hardscrabble youngster, Ricky first worked as a paperboy in the honkytonks of downtown Nashville. He married and started a family early, diving into a career as a carpenter. With his own hands, he built his first family home on Louisiana Ave., and with no formal education, thrived in the construction business, allowing him to support a young family. Ricky later settled into life in Bellevue; raising his daughters and many dogs. When he wasn’t working, Ricky loved to spend time with friends at the golf course. He developed a passion for boats and fishing and loved to spend time on the water. Ricky is survived by his sister Fredia, his wife Donna of 49 years, his children April and Lisa, and his grandchildren Piper and Leo.

The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until 2:00PM on Friday, March 11, 2022 at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will begin at 2:00PM in the Chapel.
