Robert Daugherty

Age 83, passed away on February 17, 2018.
Robert was born on October 18, 1934 in Williamson Co, TN. He was a graduate of Cohn High School, and a retiree of Nashville Gas Company. He served honorably in two branches of the military, Army and Navy. He loved his earlier days of coaching youth football in the Nashville Jr. Pro and Phil King leagues. He enjoyed a lifetime of fishing, enjoyed his daily crossword puzzle, and his McDonalds lunch buddies.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorthea Wells Daugherty; parents, Austin and Nellie Daugherty; sisters, Margaret Little, Thelma Huffines, Addie Holt, Sandra Hedgepath; brothers, Doug, Bill, and Boyd Daugherty.
He is survived by his daughter, Tami Cantwell; son, Duane Daugherty (Pamela); four grandchildren, Jill (DJ), Samantha, Shannon (Kevin), and Chase; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial gifts to be given to West Nashville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he was a long-time member.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
