Ronald Wilson Campbell, 82, of Nashville, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021 at his home. He was born in Nashville on February 19, 1939 to the late Luther T. and Rebecca Wilson Campbell. Ronald proudly served in the United States Army. He attended Park Avenue Baptist Church. Ronald worked as an engineer at IBM and was also a ham radio operator. He was active with the Shriners, Masons, and The Order of The Eastern Star. He was also active with the Senior Citizen Dancers in Ashland City. He also loved to travel. Ronald enjoyed supporting his friends’ jam sessions. He was loved by all and was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Tommie-Ann Campbell, and infant daughter, Melody-Ann Campbell.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Jeff Campbell and Mark (Jeana) Campbell; grandchildren, Isabella Campbell, Jessica Ann-Marie (Donnie) Phillips, Ryan Taylor Campbell, Morgan Day Campbell, and Kayla Crawford; siblings, Luther Thomas (Belvia) Campbell, Jr., Bobby F (Mary Elizabeth) Campbell, and Judy Campbell Smith; and special friend, Dianne Tomlin.
Visitation will be Friday, December 17, 2021 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. Additional visitation will be from 11:00AM until 12:00PM on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the funeral home. A funeral service will begin at 12:00PM with Bobby Strickland officiating. Following the service, Ronald Wilson Campbell will be laid to rest in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
