Roy G. Foster, age 80, passed away July 4, 2014. Mr. Foster is preceded in death by his father, Eldridge Foster and mother, Annis Foster and 8 siblings. He is survived by his loving wife, Janis Foster; sons Randy Foster, Steve Foster (Sara); grandsons, Will Foster and Charlie Foster; granddaughter, Rebecca Foster and brother, Larry Foster.
Mr. Foster was a graduate of Cohn High School, Nashville, TN and honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after service in the Republic of Korea. He was a member and former president of the Percy Priest Hybrid and Striper Club, an avid fisherman and greatly feared by the denizens of Tennessee lakes. For years he helped to lead the PPHS "Kids' Fishing Day," teaching urban children about the joy of fishing and the great outdoors. Mr. Foster was also a member and former deacon of the Bellevue Church of Christ.
The family will be receiving friends Sunday, July 6th from 2-5 PM and 6-8 PM at West Harpeth Funeral Home 6962 Charlotte Pike, Nashville, TN. Services will be on Monday, July 7th , 11 AM at Bellevue Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
