Ruth Ramsay

RAMSAY, Ruth Wilson Age 93 yrs., died Wednesday, December 4, 2019. Ruth was born on September 6, 1926 in Kentucky to Luther and Lena Wilson. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Education. After moving to Nashville, Ruth began teaching at McMurray Middle School, where she taught for 30 years. Ruth is survived by her son Wesley Ramsay (Carol) and daughter-in-law Jane Ramsay; 5 grandchildren, James, Rebecca, John, Thomas and Parker. She is preceded in death by her husband Knox Ramsay, and son Luther Ramsay (Jane). Special thanks to the staff at The Village at Bellevue. Services will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday December 12, 2019 followed by the funeral at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 222 Belle Meade Blvd., Nashville, TN 37205.
