Sam P. Hirsbrunner , age 91, passed away December 28, 2014. He was a veteran of World War II in the Army, and was a purple heart recipient. He was in accounting and credit and had retired from Mid State Steel. Sam was a long time member of Charlotte Heights Church of Christ since 1958. He was an elder of the church of West Nashville Heights for a long time.
Mr. Hirsbrunner is preceded in death by his wife; Dorothy Rucker Hirsbrunner, Parents; William and Mary Hirsbrunner, Brothers; William, Harris, Jimmy, and Thomas Hirsbrunner.
He is survived by daughter, Linda (John) Pope, son; Ronnie (Barbara) Hirsbrunner, daughter in law; Vanessa Hirsbrunner; Grandchildren; Andrew (Rebekah) Parker, Amanda (Daniel) Widick, Carl (April) Hirsbrunner, Chad (Melony) Hirsbrunner, Chuck Hirsbrunner, Heath Hirsbrunner, Zackary Hirsbrunner; and eight great grandchildren. A big thank you to the staff at Mary Queen of Angels for their loving care. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Churches of Christ disaster relief. Visitation for Mr. Hirsbrunner will be on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 5-8 PM and from 1pm until service time at 2pm on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at West Harpeth Funeral Home. (615) 352-9400
