Shannon A. Ladd, 62, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023, at his home. He was born in Nashville to the late Leo T. Ladd and Etwell Lee Spann on January 9, 1961. A lifelong resident of the area, Shannon was a loving and loyal spouse, devoted father, step-father, son, brother, and friend. He was loved by so many. Shannon was always there to help others. He was also an animal lover. He enjoyed travelling and spending time in France. He was employed at the Nashville Airport Hilton as a Limo Driver. Shannon was recognized for his charity work with March of Dimes.
In addition to his parents, Shannon was preceded in death by his son, Carry Ladd; brother, Jerry Ladd; and step-father, Bill Curtis.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Leslie Greenhill Ladd; step-son, Maxwell Greenhill; brother, William “Willie” Curtis; sister, Clara “Tinker” Curtis; granddaughters, Kassandra Morgan and Marlee Ladd; uncle and aunt, J.L. Myers and Beth Elmore; niece, Michelle Myers; and a host of extended family members and beloved friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 3:00PM CST until 4:00PM CST at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will begin at 4:00PM CST in the Chapel at West Harpeth.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the March of Dimes Tennessee Chapter in Shannon’s honor.
