BISHOP, Shirley Rucker - Age 78 years, passed from this life April 17, 2014. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Charlotte Heights Church of Christ. Preceded in death by her husband, Hal Bishop; sister, Dorothy Hirsbrunner; brother, Don Rucker. Survived by sons, Steve (Darlete) Bishop and Brian (Melissa) Bishop; grandchildren, Alex, Austin, Breanna, Amber, Kameryn and Halle Bishop; siblings, Bobby Rucker, Margaret Rivet, Marian (Marvin) Conquest, and Barbara (Glen) Bargerstock; brother in law, Sam Hirsbrunner. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at 1pm, at Charlotte Heights Church of Christ with Darrell Blankenship, Clifford Dobbs and Jim Morgan officiating. Interment will be at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Alex Bishop, Austin Bishop, Josh Rivet, Andy Parker, Jad Dotson, and Dennis Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Keeton, Mark Collins, Tommy Mosier, Wayne Byrne, and Bob Graham. Donations can be made to Nashville Christian School or Charlotte Heights Church of Christ. Visitation will be on Monday from 3-8pm, at West Harpeth Funeral Home, and on Tuesday from 12pm until 1pm at Charlotte Heights Church of Christ.
