Shirley Greer

Shirley Fay Hunt Greer, of West Nashville, was born on August 4, 1933, and passed from this life on July 15, 2020.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, George and Katie Bell Hunt. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, John J. Greer, Sr.; sons, John Jr. (Linda), Gerald, and Clyde (Pam); grandchildren, Jeromy Greer (Christina), John Bradley Greer (Kelly), Leslie Lovelace, Johnathan Greer; her great grandchildren, Katie, Jaxon, Lilah, Ava, and Lincoln.

Shirley loved spending time at her old historic house in Sylvan Park with her family and friends. She loved antiques, genealogy, and working in her flower gardens. When she was called to heaven, she was surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all the people that love her. She will always remain in our thoughts and prayers forever.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to Tennessee Right To Life (409 Welshwood Drive, Nashville, TN 37211).

A private family service was held.
