Shirley Ann Thompson

Shirley Ann Thompson, 83, of Nashville, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025. She was born in Franklin, TN, on May 23, 1941, to the late John and Bertie Garner Glenn.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, John Thompson; sons, John Calvin (little Johnny) and James Randall (Randy) Thompson; grandson, Joshua Thompson; siblings, John Glenn, Jr., Agnes Hayes, Carrie (Tippy) Tomlin, Nora Gilbert, and Martha Tomlin.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Tammy Maynard; sister, Stella Jenkins; brother, Charles Glenn; granddaughter, Ashley Dye of St. Augustine, FL; great-grandchildren, Areya and Nixon Dye of St. Augustine, FL; several nieces and nephews; and her dear friends, Frankie Jean and Donnie Williams and Tammy and Bobby Perry.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 11:00AM in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
