Inez Jackson

Thelma Inez Jackson, 89 of Nashville, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025. She was born in Davidson County on February 23, 1936, to the late John and Nettie Merle Wallace McGrady. Inez was a loving and kind soul. She was a faithful Christian, and she was resilient and hardworking. Inez loved her family and will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Inez was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James; 5 brothers; and 1 sister.

She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis, Debbie, and Penny; 4 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren (and one more on the way); 1 great-great-granddaughter; and a host of extended family members and beloved friends.

The family will receive friends from 11:00AM until 2:00PM on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. Immediately following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:30PM in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens on Highway 100.
