Tom Mitchell

John T. (Big Tom) Mitchell, founder of Mitchell Plumbing, Inc., Nashville, Tennessee, was born in Nashville on April 23, 1942, and passed away peacefully on December 9th, 2021 at age 79.

He leaves behind 4 children, Mike (Terri) Mitchell, Kristy Goode, Billy Mitchell and Chad Mitchell; 6 grandchildren, Jeremy, Caitlin, Lindsey, Cody, Justin, Izzy and 3 great grandchildren.

He was survived by 8 brothers and sisters, Tony Mitchell, Kathy Ross, Ellen Edenfield, Barbara Douglas, Jimmy Mitchell, Patricia Luna, Teresa Duffield, Martha Edwards.

Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. Additional visitation will be at West Harpeth Funeral Home from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Thursday, December 16, 2021 with a funeral service to begin at 2:00PM in the chapel. Big Tom will be laid to rest in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens following the service.
