Everyone her knew her always said "There's no one like her." Although she suffered through years of unimaginable pain, she was the most vivacious, funny, and upbeat person you would ever meet. She never met a stranger or someone in need that she didn't try to help.
Her love of family, seniors, children, and pets, was unfathomable. Having been a high school dropout at the Age 13, she was most proud of earning a master's degree in social work. Although she was a below knee amputee, she was an avid swimmer at the YMCA, Green Hills, where she was always encouraging other handicapped people to not be afraid to "Get in the Water."
Her other passion was music, which she lived and breathed, of recent, she was inspired by the life and music of Brittany and the Alabama Shakes Band. Her love, laughter, and determination to overcome her disabilities were contagious. To know her was to love her and be inspired.
Her motto was "No stopping....Never Give Up!" There is a big empty space in our hearts and in the world, but we are sure she is in heaven making the angels laugh and sing.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations in her memory may be sent to AmputeeBladeRunners@gmail.com , 3256 24th Avenue North, Suite 300, Nashville, TN 37203 (615) 752-1233)
