Velma Travis

Velma Ruth Travis -Age 97, entered the arms of her Savior on May 28, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Eula Tucker; her husband, Charles "Bo" Travis; granddaughter, Amanda Travis; one sister, and three brothers.

She is survived by her sons, David (Tammy) Travis and Gary (Beverly) Travis; one grandson, Kyle (Emily Gleason) Travis.
Velma was a longtime member of the West Nashville Cumberland Presbyterian Church for over 70 years. She was a member of the Semper Fi Sunday School Class. The family would like to extend their thanks to Caris Hospice; her caregivers, Tammy, Dee, and Brandy; special caregivers, Rachel Taylor and Alicia.

A public graveside service to celebrate her life will be on Monday, June 1, 2020, at 11AM, at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Nashville Fire Department Box 55, or the West Nashville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
