Virginia Mitchell Griffin died November 30, 2015 in Guntersville, Alabama where she had lived since July 2014.

She was born December 11, 1923 in Nashville, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo James Mitchell and Dorothy Stewart Mitchell; husband, H. Paul Griffin; and two sisters, Jean M. Flemming and Dorothy M. Leaming.

She was a member of Bellevue Presbyterian Church where she was appreciated for her long lasting mission of making the Sanctuary ready for worship with flowers.

Her love of her church and her family are the lasting memories she leaves to friends in Nashville and family members living in Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Tennessee and Bhutan.

Memorial donations may be made to Bellevue Presbyterian Church or your favorite charity.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015, at 1:00pm at Bellevue Presbyterian Church, 100 Cross Timbers Drive. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
