SAWDEY, Virginia Dare Hogan Ginny- Passed away March 1, 2012. Preceded in death by parents, Amery Porter Hogan and Donie Lovett Hogan; beloved step-mother, Ruby Fultz Hogan; loving husband, F. Clark Sawdey; brothers, Lenard Hogan and Norman Toby Hogan. Survived by adoring children, John Clark Sawdey, Susan Weiss Naiser; son-in-law, Greg Naiser; devoted sisters, Vicie Ruff, Doris Jean Long, Arlene Fulmer; sister-in-law, Jean Marilyn Hogan; brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Dorothy Sawdey; numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Retired Executive Secretary State of Tennessee, Past President, Executive Women International; Past President, Bordeaux Advocates. Ginny nurtured her family's hearts and souls with amazing meals, love and laughter around her dining room table. A loyal friend and confidante your secrets were safe with her, her words of wisdom guided her friends and family and will be often quoted and greatly missed. The family wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude to the therapists and caregivers at West Meade Place and Guardian Home Health. The family also thanks the amazing caregivers at The Waterford in Bellevue, Dr. Charles Daniels and dear friends, Katy McQuisten and Cathy Clark who brightened her days and made her smile through her final illness. A graveside service will be 12 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
