WILLIAM OLIVER EARLES, SR. - Age 78 years, passed away May 15, 2014. He served 2 years in the US Army, and retired after 30 years from NES. He was a member of the Scottsboro United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by his parents, JD and Ernestine Earles; brother, Carroll Earles. Survived by wife of 57 years, Faye Earles; children, Debbie King, William ‘Bill" Earles, Jr., and Stacie (Charlie) Stanfield; grandchildren, Kelly (Melinda) King, Elizabeth King, Erin King, Dawn (Travis) Knapp, William "Billy" Earles, III., Tyler Earles, Dylan Earles, Chris Earles, Kayla Woodall, Taylor Woodall, Hunter Stanfield, Charlie Stanfield, III., and Anyssa Stanfield; great grandchildren, Logan Knapp, Jordan Knapp, Haley Knapp, Alyssa Earles, Ryan Posey, Michael Posey, Kenny Brewer, Sydney Brewer, and Liam Stanfield; sister, Sylvia "Susie" (Glyn) Smith; sister in law, Barbara Earles. The Life Celebration service will be on Monday, May 19, 2014, at 11am, at West Harpeth Funeral Home with Joy Edwards officiating. Private family inurnment will be at Joelton Hills Memory Gardens. Family will serve as pallbearers; honorary pallbearers will be Dr. John E. Anderson, Dr. Robert Mangelardi, and Ernest "Butch" Parker, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to Scottsboro UMC in Oliver's memory.
