William Garland

William "Bill" Conrad Garland- Age 93, entered in the arms of his savior on Friday, May 1, 2020. He was born December 21, 1926, in Garland Hollow in Davidson County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene George and Jerdie (Toler) Garland; his brothers, Morris, Edd, and Leo Garland.

He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Marie Murphy Garland; his children, Stanley (Jackie) Garland, Wayne Garland, and Connie (Eddie) Pomeroy; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; he is also survived by his sister, Lillie Hubbel.

Bill was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Philippines. He retired from both the Ford Glass Plant, and his family business, Garland Body Shop. He served as a deacon at River Road Church of Christ for many years.

The family will have a private graveside service at Middle TN Veterans Cemetery. Once the restrictions are lifted, they will have a public memorial for those wishing to attend. Please visit www.westharpethFH.com for updates.
