KING I, William Allen, age 66, passed away July 20, 2011. He was a paramedic for 20 years with the Metro Fire Department in Nashville, TN. During that time he was awarded paramedic of the year by the state of Tennessee. In later years he was employed by Lowes in Hendersonville. He was a member of the #359 Masonic Lodge of Hendersonville, a lifetime member of the NRA and was also a very active member of DeMolay as a young man. In his younger years he had a passion for racing. He raced at Highland Rim Speedway in Greenbriar, TN and the Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville, TN. He drove the #66 and the #55 car. He met and raced with many racing icons such as Richard Petty, Sterling Marlin, Morgan Shephard, Bobby Allison, Darrell Waltrip and Neil Bonnett. He is preceded in death by his great-grandma, Mary Jane Christy; grandma, Cora E. Rose; parents, Arthur and Maymie King; grandsons, Ryan Christopher, Aaron Matthew and Isaac Joseph; beloved pet, Sasha. He is survived by former wives, Judi Bunner and Patty Reynolds; son, William A. King II and wife Melissa; grandchildren, Susan Brooke Justin Horton, Jamie Lee Blake Winters; Andrew Thomas, William Allen III, Adam Jacob, Lidya Grace, Elijah Mark and Autumn Marie; beloved pet, Sahara; great-grandsons, Dathen Noah Horton, Carter Lewis Horton, Keegan Riley Horton and Everett William Winters. A Life Celebration service will be held on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 1 p.m. with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. at Metro Baptist Church in Goodlettsville, TN with Landon Sartin officiating.
