William Johnson

Mr. William "Ray" Johnson, age 84 of Nashville, TN passed away January 27, 2022.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Pearl Johnson and is survived by his children, Ray (Sherri) Oakley, Cindy Jones, Judy Wright, William Johnson, Patricia Johnson, Frankie (Bobby) Brown, Richard (Ginger)  Johnson; and one brother, Carl Johnson.

Mr. Johnson retired from Metro Sanitation Services in 1988 after 25+ years of dedicated service.   He loved to fish and hunt and was known as the "West Nashville Can Man."

The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at West Harpeth Funeral Home, 6962 Charlotte Pike, from 3pm until 7pm, and on Wednesday, February 2, from 10am until the service time at 12pm. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to Ray's caregivers or "babysitters" as he liked to call them, LuLu Waters, Debby Sparks, and Shamika Sparks.
