William Yates, Sr.

Mr. William Howard Yates, Sr., 81, of Pegram, TN, passed away April 21, 2019. Mr. Yates is preceded in death by his parents, Emerson and Minnie Gossett Yates; loving wife, Linda Fay Yates; daughter, Sandra Kay Yates; brother, Kenneth Yates; and sister, Betty Cooper. He is survived by his children William Howard Yates, Jr., Cheryl Mabry, Kimberly Kelley, Wayne Yates, Tina Neely; Sister Clara Click; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Yates proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1955 - 1958. He loved country music and working in his vegetable garden, selling produce from a wagon, "Pond Creek Produce."

Services for Mr. Yates will be held at Middle TN Veteran's Cemetery, 7931 McCrory Lane, Nashville, TN on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 11am.
