William York, Sr.

William "Bill" Edgar York, Sr. - Age 82, passed away June 5, 2020 in Nashville, TN.

Mr. York is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Frances York and grandson, John Curran, III.

Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, LaVerne York; children, Eddie York (Wanda), Pam York Stephens, Donna York Curran, Darrell York, David York; sister, Becky York Malone; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Mr. York was a faithful member of River Road Church of Christ for many years. He previously served as Deacon and Elder at James Ave. Church of Christ. Bill also worked for 25 years at Buch Building Company and later retired from W & O Construction Company.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens with Bro. Josh Barnett and Paul Darety officiating.

Visitation with the family will be held on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at West Harpeth Funeral Home.
